Renel Brooks MoonKBLX-SF has announced the addition of Bay Area Hall of Fame personality Renel Brooks-Moon. She will host the “Soul School Sundays” program airing on Sunday from 5-10p beginning AUGUST 28th.
OM Elroy Smith said, “A legend like Renel needs no introduction. Her tremendous accomplishments in this business speak for themselves, making this decision a no brainier for me. I can’t wait to hear her crack the mic for the first time on the KBLX airwaves.”

Her decorated career spans over 30 years and includes an induction into The Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame in 2008. She was recognized by the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame as the first female announcer of a championship game in any major professional sport and continues to serve as Public Address Announcer for the San Francisco Giants. Renel’s resume also includes nine years on-air with Top 40/Rhythmic KMEL (106.1) and 17 years with AC KISQ (98.1) in morning drive.
