The Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen has granted a temporary permit allowing Paisley Park to open for public tours Thursday and two other days in October while officials work out concerns about public safety, traffic and other things.

The museum at the home and studio of the late rock superstar Prince was due to open Thursday before the city council postponed action on a rezoning request.

In a statement Tuesday, Paisley Park says it now has a temporary permit allowing tours Thursday, Saturday and Oct. 14. They’ll try to accommodate guests holding tickets for other October dates on those three dates. Ticket holders will receive emails.

paisley1Paisley Park is also in discussions with the Mall of America on an exhibition of Prince artifacts and costumes, which will be open to ticket holders.

The Chanhassen City Council will vote on the request by the trust company overseeing Prince’s estate “on or before” Dec. 20.
