Steve Harris

Radio One Cincinnati has parted company with OM Steve Harris after a three-year run. Harris had overseen Urban WIZF (101.1 The Wiz), Sports-Talk WCFN (100.3 The Fan) and Talk WDBZ-AM (1230 AM The Buzz). He joined Radio One Cincinnati in July of 2010 from ESPN Radio, where he was VP of Programming; his previous VP stops include VP of Multicultural Programming at ABC Radio Networks, VP of Music Programming at XM and VP at Tom Joyner‘s Reach Media. Concurrent with Harris’ exit, WCFN flips format to R&B Oldies as Old School 100.3 with the aforementioned Mr. Joyner holding down the morning fort. According to Radio One’s SVP of Programming Jay Stevens, “Adult listeners in Cincinnati will now have a station that plays the music they know and love and can sing every word to — 24/7. Old School 100.3 is all about the memories and the emotions of these great Old School songs.” We’re talking timeless classics from such artists as Luther Vandross, The Isley Brothers, Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Anita Baker, etc. Radio One RVP Jeff Wilson added, “Research has confirmed an enormous appetite for Old School 100.3 in Cincinnati. It’s going to be wonderful to hear the finely seasoned classics in Queen City radio again. And we’re going to have some fun between the songs, because that’s what we like to do.” Listen live online at oldschoolcincy.com.
