The Mayer Gets My Vote

Last week R&B soul musician Mayer Hawthorne released his sophomore album, Where Does This Door Go. I must say I LOVE this record.  My top songs are “Wine Glass Woman” and “Crime” featuring Kendrick Lamar. The album went by a little too fast for my taste however, but almost every song is at a jam level. Did I mention the legendary Pharrell Williams is on also on this album?  This is definitely one of the better releases of this year… let alone this summer.  I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 flies. And who knows, maybe in a few months, we’ll be able to tell if Where Does This Door Go becomes our first Indi Buzz “Swatter Slapper” which is a perfect score.
