With veteran artists who influenced the game like Pharrell, Missy Elliot, and Timbeland, to fast skyrocketing new talent like Kali Uchis, D.R.A.M., and Lil Tracy, the Old Dominon will always have a thriving music scene. There’s some incredibly fresh new talent coming out of the capitol city of Richmond. Four man rap group Divine Council will be the next to kill it for the 804. On their commercial debut EP Council World $ilk Money, Lord Linco, Cyrax, and producer Icytwat snagged Andre 3000 for the closing track “Decemba” which has an action packed Cinematic video which you can watch below: The track I’ve been bumping the most is “Rollie Pollie Ollie” for it’s Nostalgic hook (90s Disney Chanel), and angelic sounding instrumental. I expect 2017 to be a big year for Divine Council. Any group sighting influence to P A L M Tree all-stars Metro Zu should become a favorite to all (and in case you’re not hip Metro Zu, I suggest you give them a listen).
