Steve Harvey Hires “Fixer” Judy Smith Kevin Fleming February 2, 2017 Entertainment Steve Harvey is reportedly trying to fix his image after taking a beating in the media lately over a derogatory joke about Asian men and a meeting with then-President-elect Donald Trump. A source tells the New York Daily News that the 60-year-old comedian has hired crisis control expert Judy Smith, on whom the show Scandal is based, to see if she can fix his recent PR problems. Some of Smith’s other famous clients include former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, TV host Paula Deen, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, former pro football player Michael Vick, and actor Wesley Snipes. Harvey lit up social media last month by joking that women weren’t interested in dating Asian men, before apologizing on Twitter a week later. Earlier, he’d met with Trump in New York City to discuss bringing change to inner cities, a move the didn’t endear himself to many of his fans who see the president as unsympathetic to African-American causes.
