Kenard-K2-KarterRadio One/Cincinnati OM/PD Kenard Karter is leaving radio and making a career change. He’ll be joining the AGAR AGENCY, a marketing firm in Cincinnati.

Karter commented, “I’m grateful for this next chapter in my career. It was a privilege to lead a staff of professionals and program Urban Mainstream 101.1 WIZF, as well as launch Urban Oldies on SOUL 101.5 WDBZ and the Urban Adult Contemporary format on 100.3 R&B WOSL. I am equally thankful for RADIO ONE’s leadership team, from COLBY COLB, JAY STEVENS, EDDIE HARRELL to MITCH GALVIN.”

“They have allowed me to pursue an amazing opportunity creating global strategic partnerships across multiple platforms, brand activations and event experiences with a leading experiential marketing company in the Midwest, the AGAR AGENCY. My last day with RADIO ONE will be Wednesday, April 19th and I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with RADIO ONE as a national strategic partner. I can be reached at [email protected].”

“Leaving radio was a tough decision, but it was a very unique opportunity I could not pass up. The owner of Agar, Josh Heuser has a very unique and evolutionary vision plus a multitude of expansion opportunities. I was inspired by his desire to bring me on-board and lead various charges into new business and impactful work such as the creation of Ubahn Festival, the world’s first underground music festival. This will revolutionize the consumer concert experience and lead the way into the virtual reality event experience.”

Karter continued, “Agar is a cultural activation agency that leverages human experiences, event production, digital platforms, music, art and content design, to strategically grow a brand’s culture. Josh understands the relationships I’ve built as a local influencer in Cincinnati and my reputation on the global stage. I’m convinced we’ll do some amazing work together, not limited to the integration of media and content development pairing them with dynamic brands and strategic partners internationally.”
