LeBron James to Open a Public School in Cleveland Kevin Fleming April 13, 2017 Entertainment According to Cleveland.com, the LeBron James Family Foundation has partnered with Akron Public Schools for a public school aimed at helping at-risk youth called the I Promise School. “This school is so important to me because our vision is to create a place for the kids in Akron who need it most — those that could fall through the cracks if we don’t do something,” LeBron said. The school is based off the foundation’s existing I Promise Network programs, which has supported more than 1,100 Akron-area grade school students over the past six years. Students currently in the I Promise program will continue as in, while the new school will open in 2018 with newly identified students. Related
