Marc Clarke has stepped down from the night show on Cumulus Urban AC WNBM-New York’s Radio 103.9 and will be returning home to the DC area, where his family lives. In a statement, VP/Market Manager Chad Lopez said, “Marc’s been a valuable team member since the station has signed on [in June 2014]. He’s made a decision to spend more time with his family in the Washington D.C. area. We will miss his valuable contributions to Radio 103.9 and the New York Community.” The position is expected to be posted soon.
Already a known commodity in the DC/Baltimore markets, Clarke previously hosted Hang Suite on WHUR-Washington. He also spent a decade hosting The Big Phat Morning Show on Radio One Urban WERQ-Baltimore until November 2008. In the near term, Clarke plans to focus on the operation of Archer Pine, the e-commerce company he launched last year with partner Morgan Gantt. He is also launching a daily podcast on September 4.
