Agency sets out on a mission to push the boundaries of R&B/soul with his August 2017 album Resist. The album is characterized by its political statements on and influences from the 60s and 70s, which draw a parallel to the social justice climate in America today. Covering a wide span from world music, electronic, pop, and rock influences, Agency strives to create a rich sonic experience.

According to Agency, “you will learn more through the stories presented in the song. We cover the human experience… a wealth of material shedding light on our loves, our regrets, our hopes, and our fears.” Accolades that Agency has achieved include  winning two Indaba Music contests for Featured Artists in 2016, and the Sony Cover Music Series winner for their cover of The Beatles’ “I Want To Hold Your Hand.”

Resist is the follow up to Agency’s critically acclaimed debut album IDENTITY. There is much creativity shown by the band on the project. It opens with a poem from the late great Maya Angelou to set the tone. Stream Resist here.
