Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’ Inspires Financial Advice Book For African-Americans

“Jay gave us the ‘what.’ My goal with the book was to give the ‘how.’” – Ash Cash

“I’m tryin’ to give you a million dollars worth of game for $9.99,” raps Jay-Z on “The Color Of O.J.” Author Ash Exantus, aka Ash Cash, is now offering that game in the form of a $14.99 paperback book.

The Wake Up Call: Financial Inspiration Learned from 4:44 + A Step by Step Guide on How to Implement Each Financial Principle was inspired by Jay’s Grammy-nominated album 4:44. Cash spoke to HipHopDX about his latest writings focusing on the economic growth of African-Americans.

“My inspiration for the book was that Jay was giving so much knowledge about how you can become financially free… as an individual as well as how we (as a culture) can break the cycle of poverty in our community,” said the self-described personal finance expert. “Because some of the concepts may be new to some of us, I wanted to expound more on the blueprint that Jay gave us (pun intended). In essence, Jay gave us the ‘what.’ My goal with the book was to give the ‘how.’”
