Wale has been out of the news for a minute. In 2017, he released an album and also the rapper has been focused on raising his daughter.

wale-all-star-break-upOn Tuesday, February 13th Wale released a new single titled “All Star Break Up.” After appearing on Spotify and Apple Music, fans noticed that it was released through Maybach Music Group and Every Blue Moon.

Missing from the credits was Atlantic Records and this led to fans looking for answers. An Atlantic Records spokesman would later confirm that Wale is no longer with the company.

This means that the stylistic rapper is now officially an independent artist again. Every Blue Moon is a record company headed by Wale.

I’m guessing that the company was formed to help the musician maintain control of his music and catalog after the Atlantic Records split.

Since becoming a nationwide star, Wale has released a total of four albums. 2011’s “Ambition” was released through Atlantic Records parent company, Warner Music. However, Wale would go on to release his next three albums through Atlantic Records.

These albums include 2013’s “The Gifted” and 2015’s “The Album About Nothing.” He also released his last album, 2017’s “Shine” through Atlantic Records.*
