Kandi Eastman and MC LyteMC Lyte stopped in Houston to debut her new single “Cravin” featuring Stan C. and talked to Kandi Eastman on air at KMJQ. Lyte says that big things are happening right now. In addition to her music, Hip Hop Sisters is a non-profit foundation that she organized to promote positive images of women of ethnic diversity and brings leaders together from the Hip Hop, entertainment industry, and corporate world to support the cause. Through this organization, she provides national and international support to women and youth around the world to promote cultural issues, financial empowerment, health and wellness, mentorship and educational opportunities.

“My goal is to educate, empower, and inspire generations of women, says Lyte. As a rapper and a pioneer in Hip-Hop, she seeks to be an inspiration for the women who have always looked up to her. Her organization will give away scholarship to the University of Wisconsin.

Radio One Dallas will be holding their 2nd Annual “Celebrity Golf Tournament October 4, to benefit the First Tee of Dallas. The tournament will be held in the inner city at the historical and vibrant Cedar Crest Golf Course that has hosted several national PGA Championships. Stephen “Red” Delasbour, NTR Director, Radio-One says the event provide a first class tournament experience. “The tournament will include a long drive exhibition and great hospitality,” says Delasbour.
