Meet Al Manerson

Al Manerson is passionate about today’s music and the recording artists who make the music. He is not pursuing the one hit wonders. Manerson prefers to take the road less traveled and avoid the “music formula” that many music labels prefer these days. The award-winning executive music producer, artist manager, songwriter and producer who specializes in A&R, promotions, marketing, sales and production is on a mission to create long-term careers for the recording artists he works with.

It turns out that Manerson initiated the collaboration of Mint Condition’s front man and Grammy Award Nominee, Stokley Williams as a Producer with Hip Hop Recording sensation, Wale… who recently earned his first #1 album The Gifted, clearly the surprise hit of the summer! Since the radio, sales and chart success of Wale’s The Gifted album, Williams is now a sought after music producer with some surprising upcoming production collaborations with today’s top recording artists. “The doors are opening to Stokley, not just in the R&B or Hip Hop genre, but also the pop arena due to the fact that the Katy Perry’s and the Adele’s are looking for more musicianship. Stokley is leading the way for some exciting musical collaborations in 2014,” says Manerson.

Manerson is also the Executive Producer of Disney Pop Queen and Dancing with the Stars phenomenon, Zendaya. Manerson negotiated the teen star’s recording contract as well as collaborations with songwriters and producers on the recording artist’s debut self-titled album, Zendaya, scheduled to hit the music marketplace this month. The single, “Replay” (released last month) is already receiving airplay on Pop stations across the country. Industry insiders are already predicting that Zendaya’s self-titled album will be a game changer for the 17-year-old actress/singer/dancer and make her a viable recording artist with a long-term career.

As manager of Audio Push, Manerson is engineering the music campaign for emerging Hip Hop Recording Duo, Oktane and Price Tag. The group’s current single, “Space Jam” featuring Lil’ Wayne received national radio airplay in conjunction with their Summer Tour,  AMERICA’S MOST WANTED FESTIVAL 2013 Tour, starring Lil’ Wayne and  T.I., Manerson secured a recording deal for Audio Push with BOW/HS87/Interscope in which the duo will be working with popular producer, Hitboy. The group recently released a new mix-tape, “Come As You Are”. One of the songs on the mix-tape include, “Theme Song” featuring T.I. both produced by the Midas touch producer, Hitboy. The group recently completed their new single and upcoming music video, “Shine”, schedule for release this fall. The much awaited debut album from Audio Push will be released the first quarter of 2014.

Manerson has been consulting on possible television / film opportunities for the group as well. The executive points out, “Oktane and Price Tag are a duo that is so natural for television and films. Throughout his industry career, Manerson has always been interested in developing solid music careers for new recording artists and redesigning the careers of established recording artists. Three years ago, Manerson took on the management duties for Mint Condition, and has crafted a new interest with audiences for the band, with consistent touring and new album releases every year. Manerson is currently readying a ground breaking new album for Mint Condition to be released in 2014. He also helped Mint Condition retrieve their lucrative catalog of hits from the group’s previous publishing company.

Manerson has also been grooming The A Team, a writer and producer who has been working on several mainstream music projects this year with releases scheduled for 2014.
