Radio One has hired Derrick “Lil’D” Greene as the new OM/PD of Urban WHHL (Hot 104.1) and Urban AC WFUN (95.5 The Lou)/St. Louis.  Greene (pictured) was most recently SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s 11 stations in Albany-Columbus, GA and co-host of the Home Team morning show on Urban WHTY (Hot 100)/Columbus. Greene’s earlier career stops include WEUP and WHRP/Huntsville, ALWKRA-FM/Holly Springs, MS and WBFA-FM/Columbus, GA.
“We are so excited to have Derrick join the R1 STL Family as our Ops Manager,” said Nathan Dixon, Station Manager of Radio One St. Louis. He added, “We look forward to the energy and focus he will provide.”
Greene commented, “I’m humbled and excited to join the Radio One St. Louis team. WFUN and WHHL are staples in the community with a great history of success. I would like to thank Deon LevingstonColby Tynerand Nate Dixon for having faith in me to take over such an awesome team.”
Greene succeeds Jowcol “Boogie D” Dolby, who had held the position for seven years and recently earned the full-time transfer to Urban WGPR (Hot 107.5) and Urban AC WDMK (105.9 Kiss FM)/Detroit. Dolby had been overseeing both markets since January.
