Talus Knight exits Cumulus’ KMEZ/KKND-New Orleans

Talus Knight exited as Operations Manager of Cumulus Media’s New Orleans cluster last Friday as his contract expired. Knight arrived in New Orleans in October 2014 as PD of Urban KKND (Power 102.9) and later added stripes for Urban AC KMEZ (Old School 106.7). He was upped to OM in November 2016.

Knight previously worked for Murray Communications in Macon, GA as OM and morning talent on Urban WFXM (Power 107.1). His earlier on-air and programming stops include WCDX-Richmond, WENZ-Cleveland and WHTA-Atlanta.

In a statement, Knight said, “I feel so fortunate to have been a part of a cluster that accomplished so many firsts in a small amount of time. Being able to ‘paint’ with the city of New Orleans as the backdrop has been a very humbling experience. I’d like to thank my on-air staff and promotion department for all they’ve done and I look forward to watching your careers grow. Thanks to Cumulus leadership Bob Walker, Pat Galloway, Mike McVay, Doug Hamand and Ken Johnson for the opportunity to run these four brands, and now they’re well positioned for greater success in the future.
