The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived: The SEC dropped the hammer on a pair of celebrities involved in promoting cryptocurrency. The only question has been who would fail to report earnings received from issuers of initial coin offerings, and the answer is DJ Khaled and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Both men have agreed to pay hefty fines — more than $600,000 in the case of Mayweather Jr., and more than $150,000 for Khaled — after settling civil charges with the Securities Exchange Commission.
