Max Media Denver has hired major market programming pro Jowcol “Boogie D” Dolby as Operations Manager/Program Director of Rhythmic KFCO (Flo 107.1) and Rhythmic AC KJHM (Jammin’ 101.5). He replaces Scott “Lugnut” Dwyer, who has exited.
“We are thrilled to have Boogie D on board — he’ll bring a fresh prospective and approach to our programming department,” said Jeff Norman, President/GM of Max Media Denver. “Boogie D has demonstrated an ability to win in competitive environments and our radio stations are poised to grow to… the next level™ under his leadership.”
Boogie D  will arrive in the Mile High City bearing more than 20+ years of industry experience and a proven track record of success. He was most recently OM of Radio One Urban WGPR (Hot 107.5) and Urban AC WDMK (105.9 Kiss FM)/Detroit until January. Boogie’s lengthy career with Radio One includes two stints as OM/PD of WHHL (Hot 104.1) and WFUN/St. Louis, with a two-year stretch as PD of Urban WPHI (100.3 The Beat)/Philadelphia sandwiched in between. His previous programming experience includes Radio One’s WCHH [now WQNC]/Charlotte and a stretch as MD at WPGC/Washington back in the day. Boogie started his radio career in Tucson at the late, legendary Hip-hop station, KJYK (Power 1490).
Boogie commented, “I want to say thank you to Jeff Norman for welcoming me to Max Media and his awesome team! We are on our way to doing big things together.” Boogie’s first day in the building will be Monday, March 11 but he has already taked command of the situation remotely. He can now be contacted at [email protected].
