Long-time entertainment executive Reggie Rutherford passes Kevin Fleming March 10, 2019 Entertainment, Music News 2 The Urban Buzz sends heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of long-time Hollywood television and entertainment executive Reggie Rutherford. Reggie was best known as Soul Train stage manager and executive assistant to Don Cornelius. Rutherford later went on to a floor director’s position for the nightly entertainment syndicated show Extra. Reggie worked on a number of TV shows over the past 40 years and was well known in the music and TV community. Reggie was suffering from an assortment of health challenges including sleep apnea and passed in his sleep at age 66. Reggie was a gentle giant and friend to many in the business. He will be missed.
