Beyonce signs global deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing Kevin Fleming January 22, 2020 Entertainment, Music News Beyoncé has signed a new global agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, covering the iconic artist and businesswoman’s entire song catalog, stretching back to seminal hits from her start with Destiny’s Child. The deal unites her with Sony/ATV chairman and CEO Jon Platt, who worked with the superstar as head of her previous publisher Warner Chappell. Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, hailed Platt “the Obama of the music industry” when the exec was honored at the annual City of Hope Spirit of Life gala in 2018, where Beyoncé performed.
