Samuel SandersLenny’s new single, “Say So” was written and produced by a young songwriter named Samuel Sanders (pictured right) from Columbia, South Carolina. A college student pursuing his Master’s Degree that has been songwriting for the past few years. His music came to the attention of LA based entertainment manager, Belinda Wilson. She was impressed enough to play some songs for Lenny. He was intrigued enough to meet Samuel in Columbia. After a down home dinner, they recorded the song in Samuel’s basement studio and the rest is history.

So what’s it like for a young songwriter/producer to not only work with an R&B legend, but hear his song played on the radio? “It’s one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever had. Mr. Williams is one of the greatest R&B talents and the fact that he would take one of my songs, and take it to a whole new level is so amazing to me and I’m so grateful to him and my manager Belinda Wilson,” exclaims Sanders. “Hearing my song on the radio, it blows my mind. Now I have lots of projects in the works… I’m working on new music right now!” You may wonder how a young songwriter can create music for such a mature singer, “To me, music is universal, but I was raised around gospel and have been around the church all my life. There are a lot of ‘old heads’ in gospel and they taught me certain things, you can say, I’m an old soul. I just write from my heart and the truth speaks for itself.” Let the church say ‘Amen’. Samuel continues to develop his skills as a songwriter and producer.
