As 2020 continues to surprise, whether it be COVID-19 or the unprecedented global protests denouncing police brutality and systemic racism, women in radio continue to “walk through the fire,” serving as important community voices, much-needed sounding boards, pivotal change-agents and more. Custom-designed to celebrate Black Music Month, Café Mocha captures this fierce fearlessness in a series of social vignettes in celebration of its Salute Her Tour 10th anniversary.

True to the mission of its creator, media visionary Sheila Eldridge, the nationally syndicated radio show Café Mocha hosted by Emmy & 2x NAACP Image Award-winning talk show host Loni Love, hip hop icon Yo-Yo and radio veteran Angelique Perrin, has led the charge in amplifying the voices of women of color. Offering ‘Radio from a Woman’s Perspective’, the theme Stand in Soul Solidarity is timely and serves as the launch of an ongoing virtual campaign that runs Women’s History Month 2021.

“It’s time for those of us who have a voice to speak out for life, for love and for justice using the same media we’ve used throughout our careers,” Chaka Khan once said. The women featured in the Café Mocha 2 Go vignettes have spent their entire careers shining that light and more.

Series is hosted by Café Mocha multicultural millennial influencer Vanessa James who is a social ambassador,  travel enthusiast, music lover, and lifestyle connoisseur of culture.
