Veteran Air Personality Marco Spoon

Veteran and award winning radio personality Marco Spoon, host of KMJQ’s (Houston) “The Quiet Storm” sits on the throne. His number one radio show, has been airing week nights from 7 p.m. to midnight since the late 90′s. His golden voice and smooth style has been on national radio and TV commercials for Whitney Houston, Boys II Men, Will Downing and Natalie Cole. He has also been a pitchman for the likes of Kraft Foods, McDonalds, Sears and Coke.

He attended the Ohio School of Broadcasting and started his professional radio career at WABQ, WZZP, and WJMO in Cleveland. He then moved to Chicago’s major urban contemporary radio stations WGCI and WBMX where he also served as Program and Music Director. Spoon was also head of programming at L.A.’s KJLH Radio, the station owned by music icon Stevie Wonder.

While in D.C. at WKYS, he also hosted the D.C. Lottery’s Radio and TV drawings and hosted a weekend jazz show at WDAS in Philadelphia. With 35 years under his belt, he is still producing syndicated radio programs and directing cable TV shows. His voice can be heard throughout the United States and Europe.
