Known as the “Windy City,” Chicago’s rich musical history lives on with the relaunch of Chi-Sound Music Group’s, debut collaboration featuring Marshall Thompson (of the legendary Chi-Lites), Denroy Morgan (renowned Reggae pioneer) and songwriter/producer Guy Daniel, known as The GDVO.

With the recent upset and unrest across the globe, The GDVO opted not to wait until the UN International Day of Peace on September 21, 2021 and use the healing power of music to support closing the deep international divide with their debut release of the aptly titled, “PEACE.”

PEACE COVER ARTWORKAll media outlets are encouraged to join the global “PEACE” movement on Wednesday, January 2021 at 12:01 pm (EST) immediately following Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris and President-Elect Joe Biden taking the Oath of Office.  Additionally, The GDVO and Chi-Sound Music Group will utilize the hashtags #PeaceDay and #GivePeaceAChance across social media platforms on January 21st.

More About The GDVO

Marshall Thompson, is the last living member of the Chi-Lites who rose to international fame during the 1970’s scoring eleven (11) Billboard Top 10 R&B hits and twenty-one (21)  songs on the Billboard Hot 100.

Denroy Morgan’s rise to fame started in the 1970’s with the creation of the reggae band, Black Eagles and continued into the early 1980s with the Billboard Top 10 dance and club hit “I’ll Do Anything For You.”

Guy Daniel is an award-winning producer, songwriter and studio engineer who has worked behind the scenes in the music business.  He’s collaborated with several major record labels and  artists such as Bunny Sigler, Richie Zambora and Danny Aiello.
