Rhino Records Honors Black Music with a Series of High-Profile Releases (Win The Downloads Now!)

Rhino Records has reissued a series of groundbreaking records from soul, funk, jazz and hip-hop legends. Some of the albums are released on vinyl in a limited edition colored albums, while others will be released digitally.

The releases include: George Benson: “Breezin”, The Donny Hathaway Collection, Adina Howard: “Welcome to Fantasy Island”, Curtis Mayfield: “Roots”, Donny Hathaway: “Live At The Bitter End”, Curtis Mayfield: “There’s No Place Like America Today”, Chaka Kahn: “Epiphany”, Tevin Campbell: “I’m Ready”.

Rhino worked with Black-owned independent record stores to offer prints of alternative covers for each of the limited edition vinyl releases and they commissioned young artists of color to reimagine the album covers. Fans can visit rhino.com to see a list of participating stores, as well as testimonials from each visual artist about the way these albums influenced their life, art and outlook.
