The 7th annual Living Legends Foundation(LLF) Golf Tournament was simply a “good ole southern Saturday afternoon in Atlanta” whether you played golf, hung out at the bar or talked “shop” until sunset. As I looked around the room, I stopped short of a totaling 600 years of industry experience and twice as much knowledge.  In the spirit of coming together for a good cause, people traveled by plane, train and automobile from as far as Arkansas, Michigan, New Jersey and Tennessee to fellowship and fundraise.

Living Legends Chairperson David Linton states “on behalf of the Foundation I want to thank the Atlanta community for welcoming us back after a short hiatus. A special thanks to The Urban Buzz, WALR’s Gary Young, and WCLK’s GM Wendy Williams for their support as well as Frank Ski’s Restaurant for hosting our golf mixer. Next year we plan for an even bigger event which will allow the Living Legends Foundation to continue helping those in need and fulfill the vision of assisting the educational endeavors of those seeking to join our industry.”

Supporting the Living Legends Foundation(LLF) is truly a noble reason for anyone reading The Urban Buzz to forego one trip to Starbucks and send that $4.00 to the LLF. While this amount may seem like insignificant, it will assist in preserving an industry that countless pioneers sacrificed to build so that we may have successful careers.

Chopping it up with the amazing Varnell Johnson and Miller London. As you may know, actor Julius Thomas portrays Miller London in the hit Broadway play  “Motown The Musical.” That’s just one more reason, he’s a Living Legend!VJ TB Milr
