KTCX-Beaumont’s Magic 102.5 gave away 102 book bags & haircuts to students in need!

Summer is over and School is back in session! So, Magic 102.5 teamed up with Moneybagg Yo, Interscope Records, and Barber’s Inc Trade School to give back to our community just in time for the school year to begin! On Saturday, August 14 we hit the Parkdale Mall with free backpacks, school supplies, and free hair cuts.

Students ages 13 and under were eligible for the free backpacks and haircuts.

We followed Covid 19 social distancing protocols, and there were markers in place for each person/family to stand while waiting so that we could ensure we have a fun and safe event!

We set up at Barber’s Inc Trade School inside the Parkdale Mall between Dillard’s and Great American Cookie Company. While you are there check them out for more information on how you can enroll in their amazing program and get $1000.00 off your registration. You can sign up and start classes as early as Monday! You can get your certification in 1000 credit hours/ in 8 – 10 months.

Barber’s Inc has two locations: here in the Parkdale Mall, and also on Orleans Street next to Jazz and Jokes. We are also excited to announce that Barber’s Inc. is now accredited. Financial Aid is available but there is a waitlist. For more information on registration stop by their Parkdale location and ask for Jerrolyn or visit barbersinctx.com.
