Jamillah Muhammad succumbs to cancer Kevin Fleming September 13, 2021 Entertainment, Music News, Radio Buzz, Radio News The Urban Buzz sends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Jamillah “Jam” Muhammad. Jam passed away at age 51 after a 4 year battle with colon cancer. She didn’t let many people know of her health challenge. She was told recently that she had to enter hospice and died peacefully surrounded by family and close friends. Jamillah most recently help the position of Vice President for The Lewis-Kortez Group. She previously held positions as the Operations Manager of KJLH in Los Angeles, Beasley’s WPEG and WBAV-Charlotte, Radio One’s Urban AC WMMJ-FM (Majic 102.3) Washington, DC, Clear Channel’s Urban AC WMXD-Detroit, Urban WKKV-FM (V100)/Milwaukee, and WVAZ-Chicago. Jam had a successful career in radio operations and programming as well as artist management. Jamillah’s body will be shipped from LA to Detroit for burial. May she rest in paradise.
