Dara Michelle returns to Def Jam as EVP & Head of Marketing

Dara Michelle is returning to the label where her career began, Def Jam Recordings, this time as Executive Vice President & Head of Marketing.

Michele spent the last year consulting for Justin Bieber. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, at Roc Nation, which she joined in 2012.

“I am extremely excited to welcome Dara back to Def Jam at this pivotal time of growth and development at the company,” said Jeff Harleston, Interim Chairman & CEO, Def Jam Recordings. “Dara returns to the Def Jam Family bringing a wealth of experience, insight and gravitas. She is recognized by the industry for her marketing accomplishments in all genres. Having begun her career as an intern in video production at Island Def Jam Music Group in 2003, Michelle began working in Def Jam’s marketing department in 2005, eventually rising to Director of International Marketing.
