On this gloomy Tuesday afternoon, I’m currently listening to the far out sounds of After the Smoke. The New York City based act showed me some love on tumblr, and from there I’ve found their music impressive. The hip-hop outfit consists of emcee Rob, producers Soft Glass and Day G.  After the Smoke has a smooth rap/sing style similar to Andre 3000 or Kid Cudi. There are also some raw elements of jazz in the production that I find beautiful. They all belong to a collective called Ekoms. Make sure you head over to tumblr to listen to some tracks.
