Bobby Womack, “The Poet,” is bringing his classic soul, old-school R&B sound and legendary live talent to the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s been making R&B, soul, rock ‘n’ roll, doo-wop, gospel and country music for more than 50 years. Last year’s The Bravest Man in the Universe won the UK’s Q Award for Best Album. Best known for writing and originally recording The Rolling Stones’ first UK No. 1 hit, “It’s All Over Now,” and his work with Sam Cooke and Wilson Pickett, Womack’s solo hits include “Lookin’ for Love,” “That’s the Way I Feel About Cha,” “Harry Hippie,” “Woman’s Gotta Have It” and the ‘80s hit “If You Think You’re Lonely Now.” Opening acts are Corey Phillips and GinaRe Womack.
