On Friday, August 5th in Las Vegas, The NABJ hosted their 2022 induction ceremony for their
Hall of Fame Special Honors Awards. Among those honored was AURN’s Tanya Hart, host of
the nationally syndicated “Hollywood Live with Tanya Hart”.


“I am so grateful to Board President, Dorothy Tucker, and the other members who nominated
me for this prestigious award” says Tanya. “I had such a great time at the NABJ Convention at
Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. I am humbled, excited and inspired, and most importantly with
God’s grace I will continue to tell my listener the TRUTH, which is, of course, the backbone of
good journalism.”


In addition to Ms. Hart, the NABJ also paid homage to other legendary Black journalists who
have made outstanding contributions to the industry including; Michelle V. Agins,
Photographer, The New York Times, Harry D. Boomer, Anchor/Senior Reporter, Cleveland 19
News, Levi Henry, Jr., Founder/Publisher, Westside Gazette Newspaper and Cheryl Smith,
Publisher-Editor, I Messenger Media. A Posthumous award was also bestowed upon Charles
W. “Hoppy” Adams, Jr., Executive Vice President, WANN/WXTC.
