LA radio personality Pat Prescott told her listerners this week that after 21 years at KTWV-LA’s The WAVE, that the time has come for her to evolve. She has decided to hang up her headphones and step away from her morning drive show. She said she’s not totally done with radio. Her statement lead me to believe that she has crafted a special working arraigement with the Audacy outlet to create content for the station– when she’s moved to do so. You go girl!

Here’s how she broke it down on with a post on her Facebook page:

“Today was a big day for me. I announced that I’m retiring from the Wave’s morning show after 21 years. This is my 47th year in radio but all good things must come to an end. My final day on the morning show will be Friday September 30th.

Special thanks to my friend Dave Koz for bringing me here and to the management of the Wave and our amazing listeners for making this one of the best experiences of my professional life. Yet another evolution. The best is yet to come!”

I remember the first time I heard Pat on the radio. She was co-hosting the mid-day show on WBLS-New York, on that particular show, Pat stayed on into afternoon drive to share the mic with the man I consider to be the undisputed king of radio personalities, the one and only Chief Rocker, Frankie Crocker. They were going back and forth during that show and in every break, Pat held her own, she was composed and consise with every thought and every phrase, her skill set has always been superior– like a seasoned radio personality pro!

Google “Pat Prescott” and the discription should, “ultimate professional”.

Can you tell I’m a fan? Flowers for you my dear friend. Thank you for the wonderful ride! Have fun with whatever you choose to do next!

Love ya!
