L.A. rap journalist Dejon Paul, founder of A Day in L.A. Magazine has just released his annual edition of the new L.A. Rap Report Card. This years list includes 25 native Los Angelino rappers and critiques them in 11 various categories. Last year’s list went viral and sparked lots of controversy for its harsh gradings and even caught the attention of DJ Mustard.

The 2023 roster for the new L.A. Rap Report Card includes G Perico, Westside Boogie, Jayson Cash, KalanFrFr, Blueface, RJMRLA, Aj the One, YG, Sham1016, Spiffie Luciano, Kendrick Lamar, AzChike, Saviii 3rd, Azjah, Bino Rideaux, Blxst, Roddy Ricch, BlueBucksClan, Lambo4oe, Airplane James, Zoe Osama, Ash Bash, Reason, DollaBoy Mike, Rucci, Baby Stone Gorillas, and HBK Jachi. Again as in the past, the categories artists are critiqued on include lyricism, impact, cadence, flow, catalog, consistency, music videos, beat selection, branding, originality, and versatility.
