Jesus Garber RIP

The Urban Buzz sends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fans of music industry incon Jesus Garber. Jesus passed away after over the weekend after a very lengthy 6 month illness which included a ruptured aorta, failing kidneys, and several hernias among other issues.

Jesus was a giant in the business and a personal friend, no, Zeus was family for more than 30 years. He was instrumental in the development of artists like Rick James, Teena Marie, The Mary Jane Girls, El DeBarge, Smokey Robinson, Lionel Richie, Phyllis Hyman, Vesta Willams, Barry White and of course Janet Jackson. He worked side by side with industry icons Skip Miller, Miller London, Clarence Avant, Herb Alpert & Jerry Moss, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, EJ Jackson, and many other executives.

Most importantly, Jesus was a husband to Teresa and father to Atticus Jude Garber.

Jesus is my dear, dear friend and brother (and golf partner) and he will forever be missed. May he Rest in Paradise!
