The #1 nationally syndicated radio show for women of color, Café Mocha Radio, has once again been selected as a National Radio Award winner by the Gracie Awards for its timely and relevant interview feature The Manns Tackle Black Families and Depression, featuring Tamela and David Mann.

Café Mocha Radio hosts Loni LoveYo-YoAngelique Perrin, and its woman-owned production company Miles Ahead Entertainment & Broadcasting will be honored with other winners May 23 at the 48th Annual Gracie Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

The Gracie Awards recognizes outstanding programming and achievements by women, for women and about women in all facets of media in news and entertainment. The award-winning Café Mocha interview tackled the conversation surrounding mental health, its effects on the Black family, and how families are coping in a post-pandemic society. Special guests Tamela and David Mann, actors and celebrated gospel artists, open up about David’s struggle with depression and how they as a family worked together to break the silence and stigma around mental health in the Black community.  
 

“For over ten years, as a co-host of Cafe Mocha I’m honored to help amplify Black experiences,” said Loni Love, 2-time Emmy & NAACP Image Award Winner. “Café Mocha Radio is an important platform for celebrating our culture while disseminating important information. Café Mocha co-host, Grammy-nominated hip-hop icon, and actress Yo-Yo shares Love’s sentiments.

In a span of 12 years, this is Café Mocha Radio’s fourth Gracie Awards. The nationally syndicated weekly show celebrates women of color while bringing a distinct flavor to today’s issues, social commentary, and celebrity interviews to empower and celebrate the culture.
