Felicia and JohnnyRadio veteran Johnny Morris and his daughter, Felicia “The Poetess” Morris, have launched a crowd-funding campaign on indiegogo.com to build an Internet broadcast studio and creative space that will provide opportunities for aspiring radio enthusiasts, professional on-air personalities and celebrity hosts. The Morris Broadcast Studio will also provide a multitude of broadcast amenities, including voice-over services, demo production and accommodations for local and syndicated projects, as well as house Radiofreqz.com, an urban lifestyle channel that will feature talk, sports, comedy and music programming.

Each a radio master in their own right, the Morris’ have a combined 75 years of experience in the broadcast business and have aspirations to share their knowledge by expanding their studio efforts to found a broadcast academy that will offer, free of charge, broadcasting and new media courses to underserved young people between the ages of 13 and 21.

Their goal is to raise $35,000 by Feb. 12th, 2014.

The crowd-funding campaign donations start at $5 and offers cool perks, such as t-shirts, hats, Earl Stevens Wine, free studio time and all donor names on the studio’s Wall of Love. A special thanks to E-40 and Earl Stevens Wine Selections.
