Radio One is re-introducing R&B music from the 90’s and today back into rotation on KSOC 94.5 to the Dallas market. The station also returns to it’s former name as KSoul. The station dropped current R&B music and exclusively played urban oldies as “Old School 94.5” in the Summer of 2011. Also before that transition midday host and former Salt-n-Pepa member Dee Dee “Spinderella” Roper was fired. Perhaps the negativity from that event has affected the station’s ratings as well.

KSoul looks to raise its ranking while competing with “K104” KKDA-FM and Urban AC station KRNB “Smooth R&B 105.7” KRNB.

When you have no new ideas it’s easy to go “back” to the future. Firing Spin is misplacing the blame.
