JD is Being Sued… Again

Jermaine Dupri is being sued by a former business partner for stiffing him out of hundreds of thousands in royalties.  Jermaine Durpi’s former business partner Eddie Weathers is suing JD claiming he was cheated out of royalties after Jermaine entered into a co-publishing deal with EMI Music claiming he was the sole owner of their company, Dieniahmer Music, when in fact Eddie owned 50%.  Eddie claims royalties from EMI went directly to Jermaine and his business manager, effectively cutting him out of the loop.  Eddie claims Jermaine eventually coughed up $276,000 but that’s not nearly the amount he’s owed.  He is seeking $1 million in damages.
