Mike Love’s Got Soul

Chicago’s Original Bad Boy, Mike Love, who will be returning to the airwaves as Soul 106.3’s new Afternoon  drive host beginning Monday, March 17.

Love who spent 10 years as a member of one of Chicago’s most successful and longest running nighttime duos at WGCI-FM is bringing back the voice and the name that was a staple in urban radio.  Those who grew up in the era of “The Bad Boys” have now grown up to be Chicago’s urban 30 and 40 year olds who some say have struggled to find their proper place on the radio dial.  Chicago’s history and music in the urban community is so rich and profound that this audience is craving to be reached, and Mike Love is ready to be the force behind that movement.  He has spent the last four years gracing the airwaves at Milwaukee’s WKKV V100.7 before his return to Chicago radio.

With radio’s most recent thrust towards syndication adding a local perspective and sound to the station was important and will be the highlight of Love in the afternoons on Crawford Broadcasting’s WSRB-FM.

Mike Love in the afternoons will air on WSRB 106.3 FM Monday through Friday from 2pm-6pm.
