Radio One’s WAJM/Majic 107.5/97.5 presented the “Mind, Body & Soul Expo” this past Saturday at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, GA.

The event was created with the purpose of inspiring, encouraging and educating today’s consumer with emphasis on “all things women.” “Hip Hop Professional,” author and former industry exec Shanti Das moderated an outstanding, informative seminar for aspiring artists, producers, actors and journalists with PR expert Juanita Stephens, Atlantic Records’ Cannon Kent, WSB-TV News Anchor, Jovita Moore and LaRonda Sutton of the Atlanta Office of Entertainment. This power panel of women, dropped more knowledge in 40 minutes than I’ve seen at any industry conference. The expo featured a full range of workshops and lectures with focus on physical, mental, spiritual, financial and emotional health. Atlanta’s favorite celebrities such as RHOA’s Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey, Peter Thomas and actress Terri J. Vaughn signing autographs and taking photos with Carla Ferrell and Shirley Strawberry of the Steve Harvey Show.  The live R&B experience with George Tandy, Jr, J. Holiday(yes, he is back), Hip hop icon, MC Lyte with her girls Da Brat and  R&B diva Angie Stone kept the crowd on their feet from A to Z.

Shout out to Sheila Eldridge, Angelique , MC Lyte and the Cafe’ Mocha Radio Crew for the hospitality. If you miss the Café ‘ Mocha Radio Show, you miss a lot! Also, a special five on it to Arlinda G, Lori Hall and the Radio One Atlanta team for a great afternoon of fun and rejuvenation!(additional photos courtesy of Long Shots)
