MSNBC Cancels “Disrupt” With Karen Finney Kevin Fleming June 6, 2014 Music News “Disrupt,” Karen Finney’s weekend afternoon show has been cancelled by MSNBC after one year on the cable network. The show, hosted by the former political consultant and Press Secretary for Hillary Clinton, had a difficult time gathering a following in its Saturday and Sunday 4 PM timeslot. A simple message on the show’s Facebook page said, “Disrupt with Karen Finney” has ended its year-long run on MSNBC weekends. Our thanks to Karen and her team for their great work. Finney will remain with MSNBC as a contributor.” There was no immediate announcement on the programming that will fill the “Disrupt” slot. Finney, whose father is African-American, is a great, great, great, great niece of Civil War general, Robert E. Lee from her mother’s side of the family.
