We all know the new school hip-hop scene is in desperate need of more females. Recently, Indie Buzz has gotten you hip to the awesome sounds of Vel the Wonder, Barf Troop, and Kali Uchis just to name a few. But wait, there’s more! Canadian rapper and singer Nova Rockafeller is the next girl to look out for.

Nova has a razor sharp sound with tons of energy. This is the type of hip-hop you can skateboard to (something Indie Buzz has always and will always be a fan of). Nova has great bars and aggressive hooks. She’s one tough cookie with a highly charismatic personality. As a 90s baby myself, I can’t get enough of the creativty used in the video for “1990s.” Not to mentioned how hard she spazzed on “Problem.”
