Chi-Town Artists Stand Up

Grammy®-winning singer and Oscar®-winning actress, Jennifer Hudson is the Ambassador for 2014 Stand Up To Cancer campaign, entitled: “Two Worlds. One Dream.”  This major campaign encompasses TV, print and all forms of media for a cause that has touched the majority of the world in one way or another.

“I, like many others, have friends and loved ones who have been affected by cancer,” said Jennifer Hudson. “I’m proud to join Stand Up To Cancer on this PSA campaign, which showcases cancer researchers as the rock stars they really are and highlights the importance of supporting their vital work.”

Also joining J-Hud as celebrity ambassador is actor Dan Akroyd, most recently seen in GET ON UP, the story of James Brown. Past celebrity supporters include Beyoncé, Halle Berry and Denzel Washington along with the late, Michael Jackson.

Fellow Chicagoans Common and Lupe Fiasco have collaborated with Jennifer to record a truly inspiring, remix of Fiasco’s new single, “Mission,” titled “Remission.” The Chi-town three will premiere the new anthem during the Stand Up to Cancer. The track to hit digital retailer outlets immediately following the performance with its proceeds benefiting the Stand Up to Cancer charity.
