Men of Color

Prominent Men of Color came together for a silent vigil this week in Los Angeles. The quiet protest was in support of Eric Garner, the unarmed African American man choked to death by NYPD. As many of us know, police brutality and harassment can happen to men of color from all walks of life. Over 50 African American Men wearing business suits at a lunch time gathered downtown LA to show support for Eric Garner and other victims of police brutality.  It wasn’t a march, nor a demonstration, but simply a silent vigil statement in downtown LA. The criteria was to wear suits. Kerman Maddox pulled together some prominent African American men including Herb Trawick, Virgil Roberts, Steve Mckeever, Steve Ivory, Roger Patton, Bob Johnson, Julian Petty and many others.  #Blacklivesmatter.
