Lil WayneLast week rapper Lil Wayne threatened to file a lawsuit against Cash Money Records for refusing to pay his $8 million advance on “Tha Carter V” and for refusing to release that album at all.  Weezy just made good on his threat.  Lil Wayne just filed a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money for breach of contract and lost wages resulting from the hold up of Tha Carter V.  Weezy is also seeking joint copyright ownership of all Young Money recordings.  Universal has been pressuring Cash Money CEO Bryan ‘Birdman’ Willimas to settle up with Weezy and make this all go away.
