Whitney Houston’s Daughter Bobbi Kristina Remains In Coma

As the anniversary of the death of music legend Whitney Houston approaches, many were stunned, while others in the metro Atlanta area were not so, when reports permeated social media and news outlets that the R&B superstar’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown (Gordon) was rushed to a metro Atlanta hospital early Saturday after being found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub.

Sadly, Bobbi Kristina and her allegedly estranged husband Nick Gordon had become well known to metro-Atlanta police for variety of DUI’s, speeding, reckless driving charges and more recently domestic disturbances. The most recent domestic call summoning police was just little more than a week ago.

As reporters have been told to leave the grounds of hospital, a variety of news sources, TV outlets as well as blogs began (sharing and) reporting a wide range of information regarding Bobbi Kristina’s condition ranging from medically induced coma, to reduced brain function and most recently her allegedly being brain dead with the family being instructed to begin planning Bobbi Christina’s funeral.

According to a family member, Bobbi Kristina, was steering clear of drug and alcohol, hitting the gym daily and even attempting to quit smoking in hopes of improving her voice to pursue a music career.

Bobby Brown has released a statement Sunday regarding the hospitalization of his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown: “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

His lawyer confirmed that Bobbi Kristina was admitted to the hospital, but disclosed no further details on her condition: “The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate. No additional information will be forthcoming,” Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC said in a statement.

Bobbi Kristina remains hospitalized in Atlanta under a shroud of secrecy and rumors are spreading that her husband Nick Gordon has been barred from her hospital room.  Word on Atlanta streets is that Bobbi Kristina’s husband Nick Gordon has been barred from entering her hospital room because of a restraining order placed against him.  There are conflicting reports regarding the state of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s 21-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina since she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Roswell, GA townhouse on Friday, but by all accounts the situation is bleak.
