Al Payne Exits Radio One Baltimore

Radio One/Baltimore has parted ways with longtime OM/PD Al Payne. “I want to personally thank Dr. Cathy Hughes and Alfred Liggins for trusting me to guide some of their biggest stations for the past 11 years.  I’ve been able to experience and showcase history in many of them.  Along with getting to know some of the best and brightest in this business, that’s another big gift that GOD has provided.   From working with the Detroit staff through the Kwame trial, in D.C. through the election of President Obama and most recently through the ups (Super Bowl) and downs (Freddy Grayt issue) in Baltimore.   I will take away memories to last a lifetime.  There are too many talented people to thank in this one message, just know that I appreciate the love and support throughout the years.
