Kevin made his transition peacefully early Thursday morning (September 21 2023) around 6:30am. He fought a nearly one year battle with pancreatic cancer. His son Dylan and wife of nearly 40 years Maria were taking care of him as he dealt with treatments. Also his sister Stephanie who is a resident of Scottsdale, AZ frequently traveled to L.A. in the past year to help with the care taking. Also we must shout out his best friend Rick Nuhn (Dylan’s God father) for his incredible help through this journey. You know Kevin as the founder, CEO, and Editor and Chief of the Urban Buzz. But I know him as Dad. It’s blessing to receive the love and condolences from so many people in the music business that he touched. I couldn’t have asked for a better father. He lead me to the path of attending an HBCU for college just like he did. Furthermore my passion for music and dedication to broadcast media is inspired by him.
