Jasmine Sanders, co-host for the D.L. Hugley Radio show was feted with a birthday celebration by radio and record reps in Dallas recently. Those in attendance included Cheryl Winston, Tony Gray, Maurice Devoe, Mike Kelly and Gloria Fitts.
The D.L. Hugley Radio Show launched recently in 39 markets including Chicago, Cleveland, Nashville, Memphis, Detroit and New Orleans. The program, a daily themed, music intensive afternoon drive program, airs from 3-7pm EST.
Sanders is a new comer to Dallas but not to the more than she 20 million national households who see her each week as a BET/Centric Entertainment correspondent as well as co-host of the network’s lifestyle show, “Culture List”. She’s also a popular on-air personality at New York’s AC WWFS/Fresh 102.7. For more than three years she was recognized as the voice of NYC’s legendary WBLS where she hosted a top rated midday show.
With over 15 years of experience, Sanders has been consistently making a name for herself in radio, TV and commercials. She is known for her infectious personality and her knack to make even the most private celebrities feel at ease. She has interviewed numerous A-listers including Usher, Beyonce, Miguel, Jamie Foxx, LeBron James Steve Harvey, and other. An award-winning broadcast talent, Sanders was also the former co-host of the nationally syndicated “Afternoon Jam Session” with Brian McKnight. She regularly reports from red carpet events and reports from major film junkets.
Sanders is the recipient of various awards including being named at the top of Girl’s Incorporated’s “Most Influential Women” list. She also received the “Executive to Watch” Award from NABFEME (National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment).
